In science, we are learning that humans, need the right types and amount of nutrition. At the beginning of the lesson, some children could name a food group, but most of us could not. We read an e-book about the different food groups and then we used this to sort food into the food groups on the Eatwell plate. The plate shows how much of what we eat overall should come from each food group to achieve a healthy, balanced diet. Some foods didn't fit easily into one group, so we put them to the side of the plate. After that, we looked at some different meals and researched the nutrients in each food. By the end of the lesson, we could all name food groups. Great work Leopards.
