Friday 21st July 2023 Football! This morning, the some of the Giraffes, Tigers and Leopards participated in a football tournament. They showed lots of determination, amazing sportsmanship of course wonderful skills. A delightful performance today from all involved! We were having way too much fun on the pitch to remember to take any photographs of the game!
Let's Learn Moor
KS2 children enjoyed a fantastic day with The Let’s Learn Moor Project learning about the importance of the uplands and how they are protected. Conservation of the moors: Moors for the Future - Bogtastic display Dogs on the moor: Roy Ellershaw Peak District National Park - Ranger Service Peat protection and rewetting the moors, Wildfire Prevention and control: Peak District Moorland Group - Habitat management The work of the emergency services on the moors : South Yorkshire Rural Crime Team Predators and protection of ground nesting birds: Peak District Moorland Group - Wildlife management Game as a food source : Peak District Moorland Group chef cooked game meat for the children to taste as they passed her area.
