Today the Leopards had a special opportunity to join a zoom call with author Berlie Doherty.  The children were really excited and enthusiastic and asked Berlie many questions about what it means to be an author.  https://berliedoherty.com/granny-was-a-buffer-girl-available-again-2024/

To welcome back the Leopards after a restful half term, we started our new book, The cloud tea monkey, with a little bit of tea tasting!  We tasted 4 differed types of tea (Jaffa cake tea, jam on toast tea, salted caramel tea and good old Yorkshire tea…) using our senses, taste and smell, to identify the different flavours and scents of each drink. 

This week, the Leopards have been researching their chosen volcano.  In groups they have worked together to find the location, height, status, type and any other interesting facts about their volcano.  This afternoon, the children were given the opportunity to present their research to the class. All children took part speaking about their volcano and producing such beautiful canva presentations. Well done Leopards! 

Today, our Y4 children have been to Chapel High School to participate in the Target and Archery Festival. We took part in lots of different target games, archery, curling, golf and even darts! The children listened exceptionally and not only tried their hardest with the tasks, but also using their communication and sportsmanship skills to be the best team they could be! Well done, Y4!
