Maths week England day 1

 Today is the first day of Maths Week England and we have started to plan an enterprise project. Miss B gave us £10 and said we had to plan and cost a project that would make us more money by the end of the week. We each came up with ideas of how to make money then we had a vote. 




We had to cost each of the activities so we knew we were going to be able to make money.



We also took part in an outdoor maths lesson about time and estimating where we had to estimate how many hops, skips or runs we could do in 90 seconds. We found out that 90 seconds is a LONG time when you are running up and down the playground!

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . I loved this session- the children came up with wonderful ideas, thinking about all the things they'd done over the year.  Thank you all for making our Forest schools sessions so special, I can't wait for next year with you all!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to.
