Jubilee craft morning

This morning we have enjoyed working with our house teams to make crafts ready for tomorrow’s Jubilee party. We have taken part in 4 separate activities including decorating cupcakes with Miss B in Leopards room. We stuck with a red, white and blue theme for our decorating and worked as a team to make coloured icing. 

We had a lot of fun decorating these cakes that the Tigers and Bears made this week and can’t wait until we can eat them!

This week in class, we had a magical and mouthwatering experience that brought our reading of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life - quite literally!  As we journeyed through C.S. Lewis’s enchanted world of Narnia, we paused to try one of its most iconic (and tempting) treats: Turkish delight (covered in chocolate of course) For those who may not know, Turkish delight plays a rather infamous role in the story. Marvellous music making, mystery solving and more!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to. As usual, the lovely leopards have lots to tell me!  Marvellous music making  h as earned Estella the Blue Peter Music badge. Here she is, looking very happy with her achievement. Circus Time

 On Monday, Leopards class delved into circus life in preparation for their new book, Leon and the Place Between. We transported our senses with the enticing smell and taste of popcorn and donuts and were enthralled by the incredible stunts we saw on screen. The children were overflowing with incredible vocabulary and we used that to help us come up with phrases to persuade people to come to our circus. We used these persuasive phrases whilst dresses as ringmasters and clowns then applied them in our poster writing. We also had chance to practice our own circus skills (although Mrs Beswick is considerably better than Mrs Chapman at juggling!)
