Mini Project - Prehistoric Pots

As part of our Topic ‘Through the Ages’ we have been working on a mini project ‘Prehistoric Pots’. This project taught the children all about Bell Beaker pottery. It allowed them to explore different clay techniques, which they then used to make and decorate their own Bell Beaker-style pot.

After all our research, the children took to their art books and designed their own pot. We then looked at the different techniques we could use with our clay such as rolling coils, using slip and making a pinch pot and finally we produced our own pottery. The final products are fantastic!
