PE - Gymnastics Lesson 1: Jumps and Leaps
On Wednesday we started our new unit in PE ‘Gymnastics’.
For our first lesson, we were focusing on being able to perform a range of jumps and leaps. We aimed to develop our flexibility, strength, technique, control and balance.
We looked at different skills such as taking off and landing safely and types of jumps ( straight jump, cat leap half turn, pike jump).
Once we were comfortable with the skills, we practiced performing our jumps using apparatus.
