Escape from Pompeii 🌋

Today, the Leopards became archaeologists. We took a trip down to the Bears sandpit and searched for artefacts that had been buried in the sand. 

We found some Roman coins, lava stones, pictures and a map labeled Mount Vesuvius.

The children used their findings to discuss and infer what our new book could be about 🌋

Carsington Water 🦆

Wow, what a day at Carsington Water! We enjoyed a day filled with adventure, learning, and hands-on activities in the great outdoors. The day began with an exciting lesson from the ranger, where we learned all about where our water comes from. The children even got to try filtering water themselves—a fascinating and eye-opening activity!  We then explored the bird hut, where we spotted a variety of wildlife and deepened our understanding of nature. We visited the interactive water system exhibit, where the children had fun discovering how water is managed and conserved.  After that, we ventured into the woodlands, where creativity took over as the children used natural materials to create their own stunning pieces of animal art. With the weather on our side, the day wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to the park, where the children had a fantastic time burning off some energy! Manchester Museum 🏛️

Wow! What an incredible day year 3 and 4 had on Tuesday!  Our educational trip to Manchester museum to view the Ancient Egyptian exhibition was such a wonderful and exciting opportunity to help bring our learning to life. We were able to deepen our understanding of our current topic Ancient Civilisation as well as explore other exhibits such as the Natural world.
