Heartsmart- No man is an island!

This term in heartsmart we have focussed on ‘too much selfie isn’t healthy’. Today’s lesson was called No man is an island. We learnt how to work together, listen to one another’s ideas and respect each others views. 

As a class, we discussed what the quote ‘No man is an island’ might mean. People are not meant to live alone we are made to live in a community such as school, family, religions ect. 

Being Heartsmart is knowing that we need others to help us succeed and be the best we can be ❤️

We played the island escape game to demonstrate needing other people to help us. The children had to work together to get from one side of the playground to that other without falling into the shark infested water! All they had was three rafts (hoops)…

Last Forest schools of the year

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . I loved this session- the children came up with wonderful ideas, thinking about all the things they'd done over the year.  Thank you all for making our Forest schools sessions so special, I can't wait for next year with you all!
