Art- Exploring Ammonites 🖌️🎨

This afternoon, Leopards started their art unit. 

We then spent some time exploring images of ammonites and discussing their shape, form and details. 

The children then had a go at sketching the images and explored how to enhance form and texture in their drawings using techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching and shading.

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . I loved this session- the children came up with wonderful ideas, thinking about all the things they'd done over the year.  Thank you all for making our Forest schools sessions so special, I can't wait for next year with you all!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to.
