The Mysteries of Harris Burdick 📖

This week, the Leopards were introduced to their new English book ‘The Mysteries of Harris Burdick’. 

Children entered the classroom to find a mysterious briefcase on the desk. Inside the briefcase, they found 14 illustrations from stories that were never published. 

Our new book is excellent for our imagination and has allowed us to ask many questions. It has enabled the children to infer at a deeper level. Each drawing was accompanied by a caption which the children have started to use to create their own stories.

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . I loved this session- the children came up with wonderful ideas, thinking about all the things they'd done over the year.  Thank you all for making our Forest schools sessions so special, I can't wait for next year with you all!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to.
