A cautionary tale - JIM who ran away from his nurse 🦁

This week, the Leopard have started reading out new book- Jim, who Ran Away from His Nurse, and was Eaten by a Lion: A Cautionary Tale. 🦁

Today we started to pull out the rhyming words in a narrative poem. 

We then had a go at reading the poem aloud, clapping to create a beat to follow. 

In the next few lessons, the children will be learning the poem and performing as a class using different instruments to create our own soundscape.

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . I loved this session- the children came up with wonderful ideas, thinking about all the things they'd done over the year.  Thank you all for making our Forest schools sessions so special, I can't wait for next year with you all!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to.
