Debate time! 🤩

This morning, the Leopards were discussing the difference between fact and opinions. They were provided with some statements about Tutankhamen and had to decide whether they were fact or opinion.

The children were then provided with the question ‘how did Tutankhamen die’ 

Around the classroom, they found different causes of King Tuts death and had to decide which one they believed and justify their reason. The children engaged in an excellent debate within the class and were able to get their point across to eachother using the evidence to justify their opinions. 

Good work Leopards!

A taste of Narnia - our Turkish delight experience 🍬

This week in class, we had a magical and mouthwatering experience that brought our reading of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life - quite literally!  As we journeyed through C.S. Lewis’s enchanted world of Narnia, we paused to try one of its most iconic (and tempting) treats: Turkish delight (covered in chocolate of course) For those who may not know, Turkish delight plays a rather infamous role in the story. When Edmund first meets the White Witch, she offers him a warm drink and a box of magically delicious Turkish delight - a gesture that begins his betrayal of his siblings. C.S. Lewis describes the treat in such an irresistible way that we were all curious: What exactly does Turkish delight taste like? So, we decided to find out for ourselves.
