Words Have Power 

During today’s Heartsmart session we were discussing the consequences of words we use. 

Sat in a circle, the children passed around an apple and had to say something kind of encouraging to the apple. We then passed round a second apple and the children had to say mean and unkind things to it. 

We then cut the two apples open. The apple we had been kind to looked healthy and tasty however the apple we were unkind to looked bruised and damaged. 

By doing this task, we were able to recognise the effect words can have. Using unkind words can leave a person bruised and damaged even if they don’t show it on the outside therefore we must always be encouraging and use kind words to ourselves and those around us ❤️

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to. Friday 1st May

Good Morning Leopards, I had a very busy day yesterday as it was my daughter's birthday. This lockdown makes every day seem the same, so we tried to make it as special as we could for her. Although she was missing her friends, she still had a lovely day. We went bowling (on the Wii), had a slap up meal in a posh burger restaurant (our kitchen) and had a cinema experience (film and popcorn). Life is a bit tricky at the moment, but we can still make some special memories. Here's a picture of her cake - it was yummy!
