Indus Valley vs Ancient Sumer

This afternoon, Year 3 and 4 have been recapping everything we have learnt this half term about Ancient Sumer and Indus Valley. 

The children used their oracy skills to hold a debate comparing which of the civilisations was more important. They analysed opposing viewpoints and used persuasive techniques to engage in a respectful debate. 

The children then worked in groups to produce a presentation expressing which civilisation they believed to be more influential in history and why. They  took it in turns to present their work to the class.
