Islamic Art - part 2 🎨

Continuing with our Islamic Art, this week Year 3/4 continued their exploring of geometric motifs.

 Using instructions provided, the children had a go at using a compass, set square and a ruler to produce their five or seven circle motif. 

Although using a compass was certainly a tricky challenge, a huge well done for showing such incredible resilience. The final pieces produced were beautiful 🤩

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . I loved this session- the children came up with wonderful ideas, thinking about all the things they'd done over the year.  Thank you all for making our Forest schools sessions so special, I can't wait for next year with you all!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to. Friday 1st May

Good Morning Leopards, I had a very busy day yesterday as it was my daughter's birthday. This lockdown makes every day seem the same, so we tried to make it as special as we could for her. Although she was missing her friends, she still had a lovely day. We went bowling (on the Wii), had a slap up meal in a posh burger restaurant (our kitchen) and had a cinema experience (film and popcorn). Life is a bit tricky at the moment, but we can still make some special memories. Here's a picture of her cake - it was yummy!
