Ancient Geography - the River Nile 🌊

As part of our Ancient Civilisation topic, we have been exploring the Nile River and how it influenced the development of Ancient Egyptian civilisation.

The Nile River is the longest river in the world and was crucial for Ancient Egyptian civilisation. It provided water for drinking, farming and transportation. The fertile land along the river allowed crops to grow supporting the population and leading to great achievements and developments.

We created our own model of the Nile River using sand, water and soil. By completing this hands-on activity we were able to understand how the river floods each year, bringing fertile soil that allowed the Ancient Egyptians to cultivate crops.
