Changing landscapes 🏞️

This afternoon, we explored how the physical process of water affects landscape.

Erosion: The process where wind or water wears away land or rock.

Transportation: The movement of materials like sand or pebbles carried by water.

Deposition: When water drops off materials, creating new land.

To help us understand the process, we created our own landscape and watched the water flow. We observed the banks erode, pebbles transport and the deposit of materials.

This hands on experience then enabled us to sketch our observations and have a good understanding of the process.
