Geography: Formation of mountains 🏔️

This afternoon, we started the next part of our topic, mountains. 

We explored the different ways in which mountains are made. One we understood this, we used play-dough to create our own formation of each mountain type. 

Each group was provided with different colors of

playdough to create their own model of a mountain. They formed the shape and different layers to represent different mountain types:

• Fold mountains 
• fault-block mountains
• Volcanic mountains
• Dome mountains
• Plateau mountains

Once we had completed our play-dough mountains, we described the formation process and what each type of mountain looks like.
