Making inferences about characters and settings ๐
During our English lesson, the children were exploring the characters and where they live. We discussed the poor setting and what a scene from a typical family living in a house like this might look like. The children worked as a class to construct a still-image representing a traditional family scene we had discussed.
Miss Lingard then called out โthereโs a rat!โ ๐
After taking pictures of the childrenโs wonderful facial expressions and exploring the childrenโs reactions, we went on to write thought bubbles to help us understand what each of the characters might have been thinking in that moment.
