Making inferences about characters and settings ๐Ÿ€

During our English lesson, the children were exploring the characters and where they live. We discussed the poor setting and what a scene from a typical family living in a house like this might look like. The children worked as a class to construct a still-image representing a traditional family scene we had discussed.

Miss Lingard then called out โ€œthereโ€™s a rat!โ€ ๐Ÿ€

After taking pictures of the childrenโ€™s wonderful facial expressions and exploring the childrenโ€™s reactions, we went on to write thought bubbles to help us understand what each of the characters might have been thinking in that moment.
