VE day 75th Anniversary Celebrations
Hi Leopards, 
What do you know about VE day?
Victory in Europe Day or VE Day - celebrates the Allied Forces accepting the Nazi’s surrender from World War 2. The final document was signed on 8 May 1945. Today, countries throughout the world celebrate VE Day every year.
How was VE Day celebrated in 1945? 
There were street parties and parades -more than a million people in Great Britain. The day was a national holiday. 
We've already seen some of the bunting you have made for the nationwide 'stay at home' street party.

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to. A taste of Narnia - our Turkish delight experience 🍬

This week in class, we had a magical and mouthwatering experience that brought our reading of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life - quite literally!  As we journeyed through C.S. Lewis’s enchanted world of Narnia, we paused to try one of its most iconic (and tempting) treats: Turkish delight (covered in chocolate of course) For those who may not know, Turkish delight plays a rather infamous role in the story. When Edmund first meets the White Witch, she offers him a warm drink and a box of magically delicious Turkish delight - a gesture that begins his betrayal of his siblings. C.S. Lewis describes the treat in such an irresistible way that we were all curious: What exactly does Turkish delight taste like? So, we decided to find out for ourselves.
