Lower Plumpton Farm

What a fantastic morning the juniors had!

This morning we went on our school trip to Lower Plumpton farm. The children were given the opportunity to explore the farm and see the animals in their different environments.

First we explored the milking parlour to watch the cows being milked. We were shown how they clean the cows teats before putting the clusters on. We watched the milk go through pipes into the dairy where the milk was stored.

We then visited the sheep and the new calf shed.  The children got to meet the baby lambs and feed them. They also got to meet the ducklings too!

We then went to visit the young stock where the children got to feed the young heifers!

Finally, to finish off a brilliant trip, the children got to take a seat in the tractor!
