End of the Bronze Age
After completing the Bronze Age in our topic ‘Through the Ages’ the children have worked in groups to produce a presentation all about what they have learnt.

A taste of Narnia - our Turkish delight experience 🍬
This week in class, we had a magical and mouthwatering experience that brought our reading of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life - quite literally! As we journeyed through C.S. Lewis’s enchanted world of Narnia, we paused to try one of its most iconic (and tempting) treats: Turkish delight (covered in chocolate of course) For those who may not know, Turkish delight plays a rather infamous role in the story. When Edmund first meets the White Witch, she offers him a warm drink and a box of magically delicious Turkish delight - a gesture that begins his betrayal of his siblings. C.S. Lewis describes the treat in such an irresistible way that we were all curious: What exactly does Turkish delight taste like? So, we decided to find out for ourselves. Some students loved the floral taste and asked for seconds. Others were surprised by how different it was from the sweet they were used to.
