Gladiators: micro:bit competition

The children have been taking part in a Gladiators micro:bit competition.

On Tuesday we were able to join a live lesson with BBC and meet the Gladiators as they talked us through the exciting challenge we were taking part in. 

This afternoon, with some help from our Year 5 and 6  the children have designed and started to produce a gadget that will help improve Gladiators performance.  

The children’s designs will be sent to BBC and the children will get the chance to win some exciting Gladiators and tech prizes…including a special visit from Phantom!

 To finish the year, the children made bow and arrows, boats, dens, whittled sticks for part of their role play and made swings . Marvellous music making, mystery solving and more!

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to. As usual, the lovely leopards have lots to tell me!  Marvellous music making  h as earned Estella the Blue Peter Music badge. Here she is, looking very happy with her achievement. Friday 1st May

Good Morning Leopards, I had a very busy day yesterday as it was my daughter's birthday. This lockdown makes every day seem the same, so we tried to make it as special as we could for her. Although she was missing her friends, she still had a lovely day. We went bowling (on the Wii), had a slap up meal in a posh burger restaurant (our kitchen) and had a cinema experience (film and popcorn). Life is a bit tricky at the moment, but we can still make some special memories. Here's a picture of her cake - it was yummy!
