Making pegs

 The Leopards have enjoyed making pegs this afternoon to use to anchor down their dens. 

They sawed the wood to size


Then split the wood into quarters 

They then whittled one end so that it was pointed (to push into the ground) and made a dint in the top for a rope to wrap around








Next, it was time to put the pegs to good us





put their pegs to good use

Carsington Water 🦆

Wow, what a day at Carsington Water! We enjoyed a day filled with adventure, learning, and hands-on activities in the great outdoors. The day began with an exciting lesson from the ranger, where we learned all about where our water comes from. The children even got to try filtering water themselves—a fascinating and eye-opening activity!  We then explored the bird hut, where we spotted a variety of wildlife and deepened our understanding of nature. We visited the interactive water system exhibit, where the children had fun discovering how water is managed and conserved.  After that, we ventured into the woodlands, where creativity took over as the children used natural materials to create their own stunning pieces of animal art. With the weather on our side, the day wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to the park, where the children had a fantastic time burning off some energy! Manchester Museum 🏛️

Wow! What an incredible day year 3 and 4 had on Tuesday!  Our educational trip to Manchester museum to view the Ancient Egyptian exhibition was such a wonderful and exciting opportunity to help bring our learning to life. We were able to deepen our understanding of our current topic Ancient Civilisation as well as explore other exhibits such as the Natural world.
