Varmints 🥀

This term, we have been reading our new book ‘Varmints’. The book tells the story of a lonely varmint, living in an idyllic world that is suddenly destroyed by the arrival of a grey, high rise city. 
In order to help support the varmints, we decided to plant and care for our own seeds 🌸

Hi Leopards, It was great to chat to some of you yesterday and find out what you have been up to. Friday 1st May

Good Morning Leopards, I had a very busy day yesterday as it was my daughter's birthday. This lockdown makes every day seem the same, so we tried to make it as special as we could for her. Although she was missing her friends, she still had a lovely day. We went bowling (on the Wii), had a slap up meal in a posh burger restaurant (our kitchen) and had a cinema experience (film and popcorn). Life is a bit tricky at the moment, but we can still make some special memories. Here's a picture of her cake - it was yummy! Circus Time

 On Monday, Leopards class delved into circus life in preparation for their new book, Leon and the Place Between. We transported our senses with the enticing smell and taste of popcorn and donuts and were enthralled by the incredible stunts we saw on screen. The children were overflowing with incredible vocabulary and we used that to help us come up with phrases to persuade people to come to our circus. We used these persuasive phrases whilst dresses as ringmasters and clowns then applied them in our poster writing. We also had chance to practice our own circus skills (although Mrs Beswick is considerably better than Mrs Chapman at juggling!)
